How to develop cleaner, safer nuclear energy: nuclear fuel cladding with Callum Andrew

In April Callum Andrew joined Pint of Science at the Henry Royce Institute for an evening of flash talks across multiple themes featuring some of Manchester's leading thinkers and researchers. Callum’s talk “How to develop cleaner, safer nuclear energy: nuclear fuel cladding is now permanently available on the new MIDAS YouTube channel.

Improving the longevity of nuclear fuel cladding increases energy efficiency and reduces the amount of nuclear waste, but how can we do this?

Pint of Science is a grassroots non-profit organisation that has grown astronomically since two people decided to share their research in the pub. Their core values remain the same: to provide a space for researchers and members of the public to come together, be curious, and chat about research in a relaxed environment outside of mysterious laboratories or daunting dark lecture theatres. Everyone has a place at the table to discuss the research going on both on our doorsteps and far beyond.
